Ms. Susan Kangume is an Environmental Scientist and Assistant Lecturer at Kabale University, serving as the Project and Grants Administrator of the Freshwater Resources and Ecosystems Research Group (FRE-RG) and Leader of the Climate Variability, Change and Adaptation research theme. She plays a central role in coordinating research projects, managing grants, and supporting the implementation of climate-focused initiatives within the group. Her work focuses on climate change adaptation, integrated watershed management, and sustainable natural resource management, with a strong emphasis on community-based and gender-responsive approaches. Susan is currently pursuing a PhD in Climate Change and Adaptation, and she contributes to research and capacity-building efforts aimed at developing practical solutions that enhance resilience of ecosystems and vulnerable communities in Uganda’s highland regions.
