Mr. Simon Byamukama is an Environmental Scientist and Assistant Lecturer at Kabale University, serving as the GIS Technologist, Researcher, Group Communication Specialist, and Data Manager for the Freshwater Resources and Ecosystems Research Group (FRE-RG). He brings extensive experience in geospatial analysis, environmental data management, and applied research, supporting the integration of spatial technologies into freshwater and ecosystem studies. His work focuses on land use and land cover analysis, hydrological mapping, environmental monitoring, and data-driven decision-making. Simon plays a key role in managing research data, developing geodatabases, and ensuring effective communication of scientific outputs to stakeholders and the public. With a strong background in GIS, remote sensing, and environmental systems, he contributes to advancing evidence-based research, capacity building, and the dissemination of knowledge for sustainable water and ecosystem management in Uganda and the wider region.
